Alison
Lee Freeman is best known as a
performer and voice teacher, but has been interested in photography
since she was a teenager.
Her first
camera was a hand me down from her parents, an Olympus 35 SP, a
phenomenal camera for crisp, clear, black and white pictures, perfect
for a college student.
In the 1990s
she made the move to digital photography. The world around us is
Freeman's favorite subject, particularly when it is covered with
snow.
Freeman's
first gallery exhibition was at the Chocolate Church Arts Center
Holiday Member's Show in 2008. Her work has also appeared at Cafe
Creme, in Bath, ME, the Georgetown Town Hall, and in the Southern
Midcoast Maine Chamber of Commerce publication "Allure of the
Coast".
Her
husband, Dave, encouraged her to share her photography with the world
and has done an exceptional job framing the larger photographs.
